Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse, 2019

Fromental was approached by designer Young Hu to create an outstanding backdrop for her “Artists Loft” for the Kips Bay Showhouse House, NY 2019. Fromental’s award winning design Braque in Grasse colourway was selected and when asked about designing the space Young Hu commented “we’re trying to integrate this concept of modern and old artistry, so the wallcovering was really the starting point’. Paris Deco Off, 2020

Marta Sala Éditions and Fromental collaborated for Paris Deco Off, January 2020, with the permanent installation “Techniques of Design”, hosted in Marta Sala’s private Parisian apartment. Displayed across four rooms of the apartment, the Marta Sala Éditions furniture and lighting and Fromental’s custom made wallcoverings showcased the accomplished artisanal techniques used to create each piece displayed. Lalique - Salon- Armoury

Lalique, Salon Art + Design 2019, NY

The Lalique installation at Salon of Art + Design November 2019, NY. Lalique’s collaboration with Fromental featured the ‘Hirondelles’ wallcovering and a custom design in which Fomental reimagined a selection of René Lalique’s most iconic motifs. The hand painted and hand embroidered wallcoverings take inspiration from the beautifully crafted Lalique crystal, featuring iconic designs such as the timeless Bacchantes vase, Perruches Lighting by the wonderful Pierre-Yves Rochon, the stunning Lauriers Panels and the bubbly spray of the Coutard Panels. Fromental created a folding screen featuring the hand-painted wallcovering Untitled 1, for a collaboration with 18 Davies Street Gallery for LDF 2019. The gallery commissioned Russian designer Irakli Zaria to curate the furniture and artworks for the exhibition. Images @shoganphoto

Masterpiece 2019, UK designer Natalia Miyar commissioned Fromental to create a wallpaper inspired by her Cuban American roots with a contemporary Miami twist for the “Masterpiece Private Dining Room by Natalia Miyar.” Natalia designed the artwork and worked closely with the Fromental design team to create a wallpaper inspired by a number of cultural influences, including one of her favourite paintings called ‘La Jungla’ by Cuban artist Wifredo. The Wiseman Group commissioned Fromental to supply wallcoverings for the San Francisco Decorator Showcase, 2019. Nestled within this ‘Haute Bohemian Hideaway” is Fromental’s Klimt inspired custom velvet screen, whilst the Ponti wallcovering cleverly features within the indented ceiling. Images @thefacinator

Fromental are represented by Harbinger in LA and share a showroom with designer and Harbinger owner Joe Lucas in The New York Design Center. Joe Lucas was invited to create a series of rooms, which Joe named the ‘Palmetto Snug’, for the Palm Beach Kips Bay Decorator Show House, March 2020. The Kings Observatory, Richmond

The Kings Observatory, Richmond

Fromental worked closely with the owners of the King’s Observatory, Old Deer Park, London for over one year to reproduce a traditional hand painted silk wallpaper of a Canton River Scene depicting the foreign factories in China circa 1772 being roughly the same age as the building. The original gouache painting is a large panorama of 2.76m wide and is owned by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.

Spiga Hotel, Hong Kong

This custom hand painted wallcovering similar to our Saltwood design was commisioned by Joyce Wang for the Spiga Hotel, Hong Kong. The wallcovering is set into panelling on the walls and continues on the ceiling in a striking spiral design.

Mandarin Oriental Lake Como

Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como

American designer Eric Egan who is based in Milan, commissioned Fromental to create the custom hand-painted chinoiserie “Raineri”. The Milanese Chinoiserie takes inspiration from the drawings and artworks by Carlo Antonio and Vittorio Raineri who worked in Lombardy and Liguria in the late 18th century. The design Raineri was first used by Eric Egan in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Lake Como, which opened May 2019. Image@ricardolabougle
