Taking inspiration from the dynamic works of Modernist painter Ben Nicholson, Untitled I presents forms of still life objects overlapping and interpenetrating, their simple lines introducing rhythm and movement across the surface.
The curvilinear forms rendered in fine pencil line add a deceptive simplicity to the composition, while our hand-painted Papyri Paper lends a chalky, subtly mottled texture.

Our handmade Papryi Paper has a raw quality akin to materials used in the 18th century. The paper is dipped in colour, and subsequently worn and brushed to create an anitqued effect. This forms the extraordinary canvas on which our artists work their magic.
